Community Service and Learning

The Blizzard Foundation is committed to giving back to the greater Twin Cities community. Over the course of the year, the Blizzard Foundation connects players with volunteer opportunities throughout the Twin Cities. We believe community service and learning projects empower youth and young adults with the tools they need to become our communities future leaders, fathers, employees, business owners and the like.

All volunteer opportunities are different. Sometimes the Blizzard Foundation will find a project that only a few volunteers are needed, other times we will need the whole Blizzard organization. There is no volunteer project too small or too large for the Blizzard Foundation. The goal of the Blizzard Foundation is to provide a variety of volunteer opportunities and experiences throughout the course of the year.

The Blizzard Foundation has participated in a variety of service learning opportunities. Players have volunteered some of their time assisting at local county care centers. Teams have traveled to Feed My Starving Children to pack meals for undernourished kids across the world. Also, players have donated their time and resources to collect toys for the Toys for Tots campaign hosted by Kare 11. In addition, the Blizzard Foundation has also spent time at the Ronald McDonald House preparing meals for families with sick children in the hospital. The Blizzard Foundation has also brought in the Miracle League to join in on Blizzard practices during the winter months.
